Originally broadcast on NTS Manchester in 2017, the tape contains over 30 tracks from Michael J. Blood - a guarded North West character, as clandestine as he is prolific.

From fully-formed epics to broken 30-second loops, MJB’s productions straddle moody Detroit ghetto-tech and hyper-active Chicago juke via rude New York house, Dilla-esque hip-hop and unnerving synth landscapes - expertly juggled, chopped and arranged into a living body by Manchester’s most dynamic DJ, Tom Boogizm.

The result is more of a live performance piece than a production archive - almost two hours of arresting left turns and hypnotic rabbit holes knitted into an entirely singular statement: An Introduction To Michael J. Blood.
